Data Strategy & Intelligence
Source, evaluate, negotiate, understand, and turn data into business value.
TYLER 4 DATA LLC
I help companies turn complex data, product, and operational challenges into practical strategies that create measurable business value. With 20+ years of experience across real estate data and PropTech, I bring a hands-on perspective spanning data sourcing, product creation, operations, growth, and execution.
I'll follow up within 24 hours.
Data rarely exists in a vacuum. A vendor decision can affect product capabilities, margins, customer experience, compliance, sales, support, and future growth. That is why I approach problems from more than one angle.
My career has taken me from customer support and data operations to licensing, product leadership, business development, operations, and enterprise data strategy. That breadth helps me see how decisions connect — and where an improvement in one area can create value across the business.
Five areas that overlap more often than they separate. Most engagements start in one and pull in another once the real constraint shows itself.
Source, evaluate, negotiate, understand, and turn data into business value.
Turn business ideas into clear product strategy, requirements, workflows, prototypes, and executable plans.
Build cleaner systems for development, CRM, billing, customer support, automation, reporting, and accountability.
Identify opportunities, create strategic connections, position products, and develop partnerships that can unlock growth.
Bring experienced perspective to difficult decisions, industry questions, compliance operations, and ongoing strategic needs.
I have spent 20+ years working across the real estate data lifecycle — sourcing it, selling and licensing it, evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, defining processing logic, supporting customers, combining sources, creating derived insights, and productizing data into new revenue opportunities.
I understand not only what data exists, but how it differs, where it comes from, how providers compare, how it can be used, and what it takes to turn raw information into something commercially valuable.
Four engagements that show the range — scaling an existing platform, building a data business, creating one from nothing, and turning an underperforming one around. Companies are unnamed here by design; the named career history is on the About page.
Scaling a PropTech Platform
A real estate technology platform grew from approximately $100K/month to $5.5M/month in revenue and was ultimately acquired by a publicly traded company for $175M.
As part of the leadership team, I personally drove data contract negotiations that expanded access while reducing costs, evaluated and sourced new providers, designed multi-source prioritization logic to improve coverage, currency, and accuracy, helped create new product capabilities, migrated CRM operations, developed marketing automation strategy, built compliance operations, and trained teams across the company on industry, data, competitors, and differentiation.
Building a Data Business
Helped establish and grow a new data solutions business, combining direct customer engagement with product development and data licensing expertise.
0→1 Business Creation
Helped build an entirely new data-driven business vertical from zero to a successfully launched MVP with a four-person team.
Tyler served as the central business and product lead, working with one full-stack developer, one graphic designer, and one marketing resource. He defined what to build, how it should work, how the data should be utilized, and how the offering should be positioned.
Full Business & Platform Transformation
Recruited to help transform an underperforming acquired business, Tyler became the central point across strategy, priorities, product, data, and operations.
The work involved three development and QA teams across four countries, and culminated in a successful migration from the legacy platform to the redesigned product.
I like to understand the end goal before deciding the next step. That allows me to think several moves ahead and make sure data, product, operations, customer experience, and business objectives stay aligned.
I am collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable getting deep into complex problems. I ask questions, challenge assumptions when needed, and explain the reasoning behind recommendations. I do not believe in doing something simply because “that is how it has always been done.”
The goal is not to deliver a deck and walk away. I work alongside teams to turn strategy into requirements, workflows, decisions, and outcomes.
I use AI strategically to bring ideas to life faster — creating prototypes and visuals, organizing complex information, improving clarity, simplifying communication, and turning concepts into actionable content.
AI does not replace the experience or judgment behind the work. It helps me execute and communicate that experience more efficiently.
Every business and challenge is different. Engagements can be structured around defined projects, ongoing advisory relationships, or retained consulting support based on the work required. The first step is a conversation to understand the need, determine where I can create value, and make sure the engagement is a good fit for both sides.
If you are trying to solve a problem, build something new, improve what already exists, or simply need an experienced perspective, let's have a conversation.
